Never Say Never

I understand and respect the views of those who argue that torture-more specifically, waterboarding-is immoral and should never, under any circumstances whatsoever, be employed. Yes, torture is a form of immorality. But it is not the only form of immorality, and there are instances in which the forms conflict with each other.
Before dealing […]

The Politics of Fasting…

The Great Mosque of Paris was build in the early 1920’s and was known during WWII as one safe haven for Jews as they were safely hidden in the basement and women’s section of the mosque.

I thought I get deep this week.
For many people Ramadan, beginning September 1 or 2nd for some, marks the ninth […]

Who’s Coming to Dinner? You’re “:.:.::..:..:.::::…:.:::…:.:::..:.::.:..:…::..::…::.::::::..:..:.:..::.:.!”

New in the news…Christians to host dinner for Ahmadinejad on September 25th in New York. Interesting to me after all of the “chatter” about Christians for Israel. I guess it proves that you can’t generalize about anyone or anything or any group.

There is a question going around in the news regarding a possible deep laying racism in white people. Basically, the media are asking themselves if white America is ready to elect a black president in 2008 and if many who are claiming support for Obama are actually unconsciously kidding themselves and will eventually cast a […]

The visual generation — the death of discernment

The Visual Generation - The Death of Discernment

When Chairman Mao of China wanted to reach an entire generation, many who were illiterate, he produced his communist message in “comic book” style. It resulted in an entire generation of youth jumping onboard Mao’s red wagon and subsequently tearing down the culture and traditions and the very […]

The crazed cowgirl wildly firing shotgun blanks

Palin blew it for the increasingly desperate McCain team with her remarks that Obama cavorts with terrorists, and now has succeeded in making the Republican candidates just look desperate as the economy goes down the drain. Analysis: Palin’s words may backfire on McCain

The (possible) Indian WiFi crackdown

The blasts go off, the government comes under pressure, and going by the books, they pull out an egregiously absurd law out of their asses: They inculpate WiFi hotspots, as one of them was used by the terrorists to send an email.
“We cannot blame anyone if we forget to lock our own rooms. The ISPs […]
